Marisa Adelman explained my endometriosis, polyps, and pain from a previous surgery in a clear and easy to understandable manner. She listened patiently to my concerns and showed genuine care. She gave me wonderful suggestions and I felt supported. I wish I would have seen her sooner because she is an amazing doctor!

Dr. Adelman was caring and respectful. She took her time during our appointment listening carefully to my concerns. Throughout a thorough exam she explained her findings in an easy to understand way and included my input in the decision making process. As a trans man, I was very nervous about getting my iud. But Dr. Adelman walked me through the process and made sure I was comfortable. I understood everything that was going on and wasn't left in the dark.

Very good interpersonal skills and she apologized for having me scheduled with the wrong type of on-gyn. I should have seen doc at Huntsman. Dr Adelman made that clear on her scheduling request for me. Hope I see the right type of doctor. It doesn't change my feelings about UUMC as I've been happy w/my docs and scheduling is great - just a fluke that i assume happened.

I'm so glad to have found Dr. Adelman! Finally a doctor who is informed about how to treat trans people and understands the intricacies of gender identity and non-binary people. I am just so relieved to have finally found an amazing doctor after all this time of searching.

I felt so comforted and listened to the entire visit! And like even though I was nervous talking because doctors scare me she let me speak and answered all my questions very sweetly without any dismissive or rude responses which was so wonderful. I fully reccomend her for Trans patients trying who wish to feel seen as themselves and not a science experiment or burden.

My issues were addressed practically. I see a few reviews from people who didn't feel heard in their appointments. I discussed 3 significant issues with Dr. Adelman and her resident that day- they addressed each concern to my satisfaction.

Doctor Adelman knows what she is doing. She is very knowledgeable and kind. She knew exactly what to ask to help me understand what I needed to understand. She came into the appointment prepared, knowing exactly what I was there for. She respected what I had to say and provided good insight.

Wow! Dr. Adelman was FANTASTIC! That was easily the smoothest most comfortable exam (of this type) I have every experienced! (and I'm not a youngster so I've had a few) The person who worked me up first was efficient and easy to talk to. The check in staff was helpful and friendly and the clinic was clean an pleasant.
