Huntsman Cancer Institute Earns Several Accolades for Quality of Cancer Care Programs and Facilities

Huntsman Cancer Institute at the (the U) has been recognized by several publications that assess cancer care.

Money listed Huntsman Cancer Institute 10th among the top 75 cancer care hospitals in the country. The online publication made its selections based on treatment, research, and provider experience. Over 6,000 hospitals were analyzed. 

Editors made the decision based on Provider Ranking System, which evaluates over one million providers using the frequency of procedures performed, billable costs, and comparative percentile scores as metrics. To be included, hospitals needed to have at least one A-rated oncologist in five specialties: medical oncology, radiation oncology, hematology, surgical oncology, and gynecological care. Huntsman Cancer Institute received an overall A rating.

Newsweek also recognized Huntsman Cancer Institute as #48 in their annual list of best .

Huntsman Cancer Institute remains rated as a “High Performing” hospital by U.S. News & World Report, as well as one of the best hospitals in the state of Utah. For 2025-2026, U.S. News considered more than . Those that were rated “high performing” are considered significantly better than the national average. The publication also found that Huntsman Cancer Institute excelled at several specialties, earning a “high performing” rating in leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma care, as well as gynecological, prostate, colon, and lung cancer surgery.
